Beacon House presents famed magician from America’s Got Talent for 5th Annual Reverse Draw Raffle
MARQUETTE, Mich. — The Beacon House “Reverse Draw” event has always been fun, but this year it will be magic! Jesse Schramm of Checker Bus and host of the event has arranged for the organization to present magician Naathan Phan at this year’s Raffle Party, adding another element of entertainment to the event. Phan, a famed entertainer featured on America’s Got Talent, Penn & Teller’s ‘Fool Us’, and Bally’s ‘Las Vegas’ has made appearances on NBC, Comedy Central, The CW, and Syfy Channel. He stops in Marquette on a national tour for a 60-minute comedy magic extravaganza.
Beacon House Marquette has booked Naathan Phan for the Reverse Draw Raffle for Beacon House on May 18! If winning $5,000 didn’t entice you to join us, come join M.C. La Conquistador and the magic of Naathan Phan, who has been featured on NBC, Comedy Central, The CW, and Syfy! upbh.org/rdr

“We feel this is a great addition to the fun and excitement of the Reverse Draw Raffle. Every year, great people gather to enjoy the chance to be the last loser and win $5,000. This year, it will be fun with some big time, Vegas-style magical moments added,” says Schramm.
Guests will enjoy a private full hour of comedy, conjuring, and classic showmanship, followed by the usual fun and excitement of the Reverse Draw Raffle.
The 5th Annual ‘Reverse Draw Raffle’ party for Beacon House will take place this year at the Marquette Regional History Center on May 18th. Cocktail hour will begin at 6 p.m. followed by a show and prime rib and Greek chicken dinner at 7:30 p.m.
Raffle tickets are $100 each and include the dinner and entertainment. Only 250 tickets will be sold, in order to keep the odds of winning high but guests may attend, too. One grand prize Reverse Draw Raffle winner will walk away with $5,000 in cash!
“The evening is one of the most exciting events we host all year,” said Beacon House CEO Mary Dowling, “It’s called the Reverse Draw Raffle because the first ticket drawn is the biggest loser. We then go on for another 249 tickets. It’s so much fun, and this year at the Marquette History Museum, we’re celebrating the history and the exciting future of Beacon House”
Ticket holders do not need to be present to win. Reverse Draw ticket holders are encouraged to come and enjoy the excitement of the drawing and are welcome to bring a guest for an additional $35.
“There’s so much energy at this event,” said Dowling. “People come to support the cause, but it’s all about having fun losing. It’s a great time, with people cracking up and teasing each other because they’re ‘losers.’ Ultimately, everyone there is a winner by helping our guests at Beacon House.”
The event takes place in the atrium of the Marquette Regional History Center in Marquette Friday, May 18th. The Reverse Draw Raffle portion will conclude with a $5,000 winner and a “Rebound Bowl” winner of $1,000.
Tickets are available through Beacon House board members and staff, at Beacon House, Hospitality Gifts or by visiting upbh.org/rdr. For more information, call 906-225-1700 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.

Health System – Marquette and the Upper Peninsula Medical Center. The private, nonprofit, donation-based organization ensures that families never have to ask, “Where am I going to stay and how am I ever going to be able to afford it?” during a medical crisis.
